Hello!
A decade has passed since I used this platform for the expression of writing. At the edge of glory of what’s left of my youth; decisive counter-measures were placed to pacify the demons of past.
Procrastination, laziness, over-thinking and high expectations were the weighing chains that pulled me down from the efforts and hopes for self-improvement. You can take a look at my previous page here. You can still be stagnant looking left and right but not moving forward.
So, how do I find inner peace and managed the expectations of self and others?
1. Clarity
Having a light to reach at the end of the dark tunnel. Be it to lose weight, read 60 books a year or buying that dress, these are goals or objectives that will help you have purpose in life. Find these goals and you will be on your way.
2. Consistency
I saw an Ogilvy post on my LinkedIn Feed about branding yourself. Let your actions and activities have others see your true brand. It can be from showing up for class, keeping up with a client or just smiling to everyone you meet. Action speaks louder than words.
3. Constancy
Enduring and being dependable on a constant basis. You don’t do something because you don’t feel like doing it. We are the human race. One for all, all for one. You never know when you need someone or someone needs you. Set aside your emotions and manage your expectations.
These are all experiences that I have that I like to share and we all can change for the better. Where there is light, there is also darkness. That’s what make us special as human beings. It’s living and learning everyday. You don’t get worse at something, you get better or take it as an experience and move on.
It’s good to be back. Welcome to the Fold.
